After working in the corporate environment for quite a number of years, I decided to become an entrepreneur and became a real estate broker, then a mortgage broker, and then eventually, I was introduced to the insurance and financial services world. Very early on, I had developed a deep passion to help as many families as possible because my father passed away at the age of 60 and did not have a will or life insurance policy. Although he had been a hard worker, he left nothing to my mother (who was 58 years old at the time). He believed that his life insurance policy was going to be the lottery jackpot for which he played every week. He passed away without winning the lottery, and my mother was left broke and heartbroken! I decided that I didn't want other families to have to go through a financial hardship, such as this, due to a lack of preparation.
